Lead Buyer (m/f/d)

We are looking for you as Lead Buyer (m/f/d) at one of our German Locations

Your Tasks

• Lead the development of and execution of category management strategies for all assigned categories/commodities 
• In line with strategic objectives, lead the negotiations to select, appoint and steer a supply base that progresses the company objectives on quality, cost, delivery and innovation 
• Work with internal stakeholders (site procurement departments) to define requirements for sourcing objectives 
• Evaluate competitive offers and present sourcing options that meet business requirements 
• Lead the category and supplier spend management activities with respective spend areas 
• Conduct in depth cost and spend analysis in order to develop cost savings initiatives through various cost reduction options 
• Carry out administrative responsibilities that effectively manage contracting activities 

Your Profile

• You have successfully completed your university education and have at least 5-7 years of relevant professional experience and extensive specialised knowledge
• You are comfortable in complex communication situations in German and English and impress with your strong communication skills paired with strong negotiating skills.
• You are characterised by your analytical skills and your pragmatic, goal-oriented and independent way of working.
• You are confident in using MS Office applications and modern purchasing tools and methods.
• Experience in managing a total portfolio of more than $150 million and experience in international project management are no strangers to you 
• Enjoyment of successful teamwork rounds off your profile.
